What is home health?
Home health care is skilled health care services delivered in the comfort of your own home. Nurses, therapists and aides will visit the patient in their home to help treat an illness, injury or chronic condition. The goal is to treat an illness or injury, helping the patient get better, regain their independence, and become as self-sufficient as possible.
Am I eligible?
In order to be eligible for home health you must be homebound, and a physician must certify that you are in need of clinical services. Medicare considers you homebound if: You need the help of another person or medical equipment such as crutches, a walker, or a wheelchair to leave your home, or your doctor believes that your health or illness could get worse if you leave your home.
